Types of home inspection report

Today everyone knows the importance of a home
inspection and its necessity. The home inspection in the
market is available in two different ways, namely the checklist report
and the narrative report.
Checklist home inspection report
Checklist report list, after inspection, usually consists of some common
words like, fair, good, excellent, or needs replacement etc. this list
does not get deep into the problem and facts out the exact hazard that
exists with in the house. The depth is very little and much brief in the
way of presentation. When the client gets a report like this checklist
report, he has to move to every specialist to know the problem and again
check for the person to mend the problem. Naturally, he is left with so
many questions in the mind.
Narrative home inspection report
A narrative home inspection report gives you all the checklist of the
inspected home. It is usually in small paragraphs or numbered statements
on all the items that were inspected. It provides you all the narration
of the report which specifies both ideal and bad parts of the house, the
property. The report is highly professional to read. They use exact gorgons
to explain the problem.
As they use more words in big sentences and paragraphs, to give an ordinary
report, it gives an impression of reading a novel and the reader gets
exhausted before reading the report.
Home inspection reports with diagrams
A single picture is worth thousand words. This is applied even in this
reporting style. Not every people are interested in reading, but a diagram
appeals everybody and fixes the report in the mind. Majority of the house
owners are not aware of the problems in their house. Usually, it is found
out by the prospective buyers. If there is a small crack in the air handler,
the house owner might ignore that. Yet the buyer would view it as a big
issue. And if the home inspection reports alert them pointing the crack
in the air handler in a burner, they would exactly know where the crack
is and how to rectify it.
Therefore, the home inspection
reports must be very accurate and concise to do all the repairs
for a home before it gets into the market. It should inform the client
all the conditions and the results exactly and efficiently and in layman
language. This clarity can be achieved only if the type of the report
consists of numerous diagrams, pictures, and some short non-technical
narrations and explanations of all the items which were inspected. Though
it takes much time to prepare, it is worth for analysis. So when you check
into a home inspector’s office, ask them for the report type they usually
provide with and latest samples of work they have done.
